IMO incorporates recommendations from cruise industry operational safety review in meeting outputs

Port Of Los Angeles Releases Draft Environmental Impact Report for City Dock No. 1 Project


The Port of Los Angeles has prepared a Draft Environmental Impact Report (EIR) for the City Dock No. 1 Marine Research Center Project, which plans to offer a unique and ideally located site for use as a multi-faceted marine research facility.

The proposed project site is located at Berths 56-60 and Berths 70-71, on the south end of the Port’s Main Channel, in a prime location of the San Pedro section of the L.A. Waterfront. Berths 57-60 were formerly used for warehouse operations, and Berths 70-71 is the previous site of the Westway liquid bulk tank farm.

Malaysia Airlines Registered 29% Lower Losses of RM171 Million for First Quarter 2012

British Airways launches themed entertainment packs for children


British Airways is launching new London 2012 Olympic themed entertainment packs to be given out to children on British Airways flights during the Olympic and Paralympic games.

The new children’s entertainment packs come in swimming bags, branded with the British Airways union jack tailfin design, perfect for children to   fly the flag in support of Team GB and Paralympics GB. Packs will be available for children on flights to and from London over 1.5 hours in length.

Orbitz Survey Shows That 77 Percent of Americans Have Summer Travel Plans


As the economy improves consumers are hitting the road and increasing their summer vacation budgets with 53 percent planning to spend more than $1,500 compared to 39 percent in 2011. Orbitz surveyed nearly 1,000 U.S. travelers about their summer travel plans and of those surveyed 77 percent are taking a vacation this summer  with more than half (56 percent) planning to travel by car and 39 percent by air(1).
