The Grenada Board of Tourism, in collaboration with the Ministry of Carriacou & Petite Martinique Affairs, the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture, and the Grenada Cultural Foundation, announced the launch event for this year’s Carriacou Maroon & String Band Festival.Senator the Hon. Arley Gill – Minister for Culture, and Senator the Hon. George Prime – Minister for Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs, will both be in attendance to address the audience. In addition, participants will include members of the Festival Authority, other representatives from the Ministry of Carriacou and Petite Martinique Affairs and the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Culture. Leaders of the various String Band groups in Carriacou and media representatives, including the Government Information Service, are also scheduled to attend. So too are some of the sponsors from both Grenada and Carriacou.
