Wizz Air, the largest low-fare, low-cost airline in Central and Eastern Europe, announced today two new services from Moldova’s capital Chisinau to Rome and Venice commencing on 24 September. Both routes will initially operate twice weekly and are the first Moldovan low fare routes offered. Moldova’s air traffic market has been growing steadily and will hugely benefit of stimulation by low air fares to attract more passengers. Moldova trades primarily with Western Europe where also many Moldovan citizens work. The access to low cost air travel between Moldova and Western Europe will be welcomed by tourists, business travelers and the Moldovan Diaspora.
