MTA Metro-North Railroad Project in Cortlandt Wins Planning Award

 MTA Metro-North Railroad’s expanded Cortlandt Station, which opened last year, and the Town of Cortlandt has received a Planning Achievement Award by the Westchester Municipal Planning Federation in its annual competition the railroad announced today.

The station design solved several problems: how to improve roadway access to the station, how to make the train accessible to those visiting the Veteran’s Administration Hospital on the west side of the tracks, and how to expand parking with minimal disturbance to the environment.
