The year when the world
'supposedly had to end' is ending with great promises and bright prospects. With the conclusion of 2012, now is the time
to reflect upon all that has happened over the past 12 months and, in particular,
the changes, challenges and developments encountered by American Travel
industry.
There has been going a lot in the industry and the biggest
talk of the town was the No-Hassle Flying Act. Recently this bill that improves
the baggage screening process for international travelers to the U.S. and was a
key recommendation of the U.S. Travel Association's Blue Ribbon Panel on Aviation
Security has been enacted into law and is believed to be a big improvement in
the travel experience for millions of international travelers.
The No-Hassle Flying Act allows travelers entering the U.S. from preclearance countries to avoid having
to have their baggage screened a second time once they arrive in the United States .
I too personally feel that this act will prove to be a great development in the
aviation industry. Natural calamities have been aching Americas
greatly this year. First Sandy and now this
powerful winter storm system that pounded the mid-U.S., wrecking holiday travel
plans and dumping a record snowfall in Arkansas ,began
lashing the Northeast with high winds, snow and sleet. I wish a quick recovery of the city and the citizens.
Our first issue of 2013 sheds light on one of the most
important business destination of Americas
– Toronto . More
excitingly look forward to a video of Toronto Tourism in the issue itself. This
is the first time we have introduced a video-play in our magazine itself. We
have many other such exhilarating plans in 2013 and hope this year we can
achieve all. With the advent of 2013, Travel and Tour Americas completes one
year. It is our first birthday and we dedicate each and every bit of our
success and accomplishments to our readers. Without your unremitting support
and valuable feedbacks, we are incomplete. Wish you all a very happy and prosperous
new year. It is a New Year- it is time to rejoice and exult and most
importantly make a New Year resolution. Our New Year resolution: to come up
with even more engaging and encompassing issues ahead.
