Tuesday, December 18, 2012 - Vail Mountain, the largest ski resort in the United States, celebrated its 50th anniversary over the weekend on Dec. 15 with a public celebration and fireworks display of epic proportions. But even though Vail’s official birthday has passed, Mother Nature continues to shower the mountain with gifts of powder snow for skiers and snowboarders to enjoy.
