Wizz Air invests HUF 25 billion in its Budapest operation

Wizz Air that it would invest HUF 25 billion (USD 100 million) into expanding its operations in Budapest. As of March 2012, the airline will add two Airbus A320 aircraft to its Budapest base, a 66% increase in overall capacity. 

Wizz Air has increased its projections for the number of passengers carried yearly from 1.4 million to 2 million. This will result in the addition of approximately 700 new (direct and associated) jobs in Hungary. The airline will launch one new route and increase frequencies on several existing routes. The number of available flights per week will nearly double from 67 to 129:
